Shooting into the light
Riviera houses face south and west over the harbour and the Channel Islands, which means the view and the sun are usually in the same half of the sky. Shoot at the wrong hour and the ocean blows out to white while the interior goes black. The fix is scheduling the exterior and the view-facing rooms for the window where the light is behind you and the islands are still visible, then blending flash to the window on the rest.
Tight streets, steep lots
Narrow switchback roads and steep driveways make ground-level context shots hard, and they make the aerial frame close to mandatory. From the air a hillside lot finally reads: how it terraces, where the flat usable ground is, how the house sits against the slope.
